Chia Fruit Toast

Pantry Essential: NUT BUTTER

This is my favorite I-don’t-have-time-for-breakfast breakfast: 1. Toast bread while showering. 2. Slather on nut butter with one hand while checking email. 3. Throw on berries and chia Jackson Pollock–style. 4. Put toast on paper towel and eat while walking out the door. Yes, if you have time to sit down and eat this mindfully, that’s cool. But we can’t always make that happen every day, and this is the perfect breakfast for one of those days.

1 tablespoon natural nut butter

1 piece gluten-free, sprouted, or bread of your choice, toasted

Handful of your favorite berries

1 teaspoon chia seeds

Spread the nut butter onto the bread. Toss on the berries. Sprinkle with chia.

NEXT LEVEL: Add some hemp for extra protein and nuttiness.
