Pantry Essentials: TAHINI, NATURAL SWEETENER
This is a great multipurpose spread or drizzle for everything from toast and oatmeal to ice cream and biscuits. I love changing it up every time by adding a different mix-in—rosewater is my favorite. Because tahini and honey are both pretty strong flavors, take it easy with your mix-in, adding a little bit at a time and tasting as you go (especially with the rosewater).
¾ cup tahini
2–3 tablespoons raw honey
Sea salt
Mix-in ideas: rosewater, cinnamon, cayenne
Combine the tahini, 2 tablespoons of honey, and a pinch of salt. Taste and add more honey or salt if needed. Stir in your chosen flavoring to the whole batch or for each serving. Store the spread refrigerated in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
