Since beginning her writing career at the early age of seventeen, the prolific Claire Tham has gone on to pick up several accolades, including two Commendation Awards from NBDCS and another two Golden Point Awards from the SPH-NAC Short Story Writing Competitions. One of her short stories, “Lee” (from Fascist Rock: Stories of Rebellion), was adapted for television on MediaCorp’s Alter Asians.

A CHIJ, Hwa Chong Junior College alumnus, Tham graduated with a degree in law from Oxford University. Away from writing, Tham is currently a partner at a prestigious law firm in Singapore.

Besides this collection of short stories, her other works include a novel, Skimming (first published in 1999, reissued in 2010).
