Brownies
You’ll Need
1 cup white granulated sugar
½ cup (1 stick) butter, room temperature
4 eggs, beaten
16 ounces chocolate syrup
1 cup plus 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
Directions
1 Preheat oven to 350˚ Fahrenheit and grease 9” × 13” baking pan.
2 Beat sugar and butter with electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
3 Beat eggs; then add to butter mixture with chocolate syrup. Stir well. Mix in flour until moistened.
4 Pour batter into greased pan and bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near center of brownie comes out clean.
5 Remove from oven and cool slightly before frosting.
Frosting
You’ll Need
1½ cups white granulated sugar
6 tablespoons butter
6 tablespoons milk
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
1 Heat sugar, butter, and milk in a saucepan over medium heat until butter is melted.
2 Bring mixture to a boil for 40 seconds. Remove saucepan from heat.
3 Add ½ cup chocolate chips. Beat by hand until chocolate chips are melted and thoroughly incorporated.
4 Spread frosting over slightly cooled brownies, cut into squares, and serve.
