Cranberry Almond Loaves

You’ll Need

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup white granulated sugar

4 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons salt

2 eggs

1 cup milk

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted

4 teaspoons almond extract

2 6-ounce packages dried cranberries

2 tablespoons white granulated sugar (for topping)

½ cup sliced almonds

Green or red cellophane

wrap (optional)

Directions

1 Preheat oven to 350˚ Fahrenheit and grease 2 loaf pans.

2 Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in large bowl.

3 Mix eggs, milk, butter, almond extract, and dried cranberries in separate bowl. Add to dry ingredients; stir until moist.

4 Divide batter evenly between loaf pans. Sprinkle with sugar and almonds.

5 Bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted near center of loaf comes out clean.

6 Remove loaves from oven and cool. Wrap in cellophane and give to family and friends.
