Hummus

You’ll Need

1 15-ounce can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)

½ teaspoon ground cumin

3 tablespoons tahini

2 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup olive oil

¼ cup fresh lemon juice

½ teaspoon paprika

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Salt to taste

Directions

1 Drain chickpeas, but reserve some of the liquid.

2 Place ingredients in blender or food processor.

3 Add some of the reserved liquid from chickpeas and blend until paste forms.

4 Chill and serve with flatbread or crackers.
