You’ll Need
½ cup sliced almonds
1¾ tablespoon white granulated sugar
1 head iceberg lettuce
½ bunch romaine lettuce
2 medium stalks celery, chopped
3 green onions, thinly sliced
1 11-ounce can mandarin oranges
Directions
1 Combine almonds and sugar in saucepan. Dissolve sugar over medium heat stirring almonds constantly until they’re glazed with sugar.
2 Toss iceberg and romaine lettuce in large bowl. Add celery, green onions, oranges, and glazed almonds.
3 Refrigerate before serving.
Dressing
You’ll Need
¼ cup olive oil
Dash hot-pepper sauce
4 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons distilled vinegar
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
½ teaspoon salt
Dash ground black pepper
Directions
1 Mix ingredients in small bowl.
2 Toss dressing with salad greens prior to serving.
