1. It’s time for you to be honest with yourself and with God. List the areas of your life in which you need the Lord to “reset the stone.”

Jesus was unlike any religious figure the Pharisees had ever seen. He actually loved and fellowshipped with sinners! Reflect on Jesus' actions and attitudes in Luke 19:1-10. What kind of effect did they have on Zacchaeus?

4. Meditate on the comforting image from the Old Testament prophecy about Jesus that is quoted in Matthew 12:20. In what ways are a battered reed and a smoldering wick similar? What does this teach you about Jesus?

5. No one is excluded from becoming a jewel in the King’s crown—no matter what sin has “tarnished” her past. Reflect on Romans 8:38-39- List all the things that cannot separate us from God’s love.

6. Still having a hard time believing that Jesus loves sinners? Read through His description of God in these three parables. Though they may be familiar to you, read each one slowly and deliberately. What observations can you draw from each about God’s love?
