2. We know that God desires for us to be jewels in His crown. We understand that He is able to do so. But why? Why does He want jewels in His crown? Describe the “big picture” regarding our royal role in 1 Peter 2:9-10.

The twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created . ” Revelation 4:10-11
3. God wants us to proclaim His excellencies to all the world! We shine and sparkle in praise of His glory! Combined with all the other sparkling jewels in His crown, we honor Him with our radiance. What does Romans 8:17 teach about sharing in His glory?
“By grace, Jesus Christ has invited us into His royal court. He has offered to dress us in the finest garments. He has called us to share His glory” (p. 158 ).
4. God enjoys transforming us into a brilliant jewel for our benefit. Ultimately, however, our brilliance is not about us. He creates jewels in His crown to magnify His name. Read Revelation 4:9-11 and describe what we’ll do with our own crowns someday.
5. A woman in the King’s court is aware she is in the presence of a holy and awesome God who is worthy of her praise. What does God’s Word teach us about His holiness?
