Book Club Questions
1. The book is ultimately about healing and forgiveness. Have you experienced forgiveness of a person who hurt you? I have. It’s one of the hardest things to do — and the most freeing. Corrie Ten Boom said, in The Hiding Place, that she learned that the key to healing for every person in her care, people who’d been in the Nazi concentration camps, was that they had someone they needed to forgive. Forgiving others healed them and freed them to live their lives again.
2. Have you ever had a love-at-first-sight moment? Are you still together? I’ve known couples who got married a week after they met and they’re still happily married years later.
3. Have you ever had anyone propose and offer you something to motivate you? Did you consider it a bribe? An enticement? A deal-breaker?
4. If you were offered a million dollars to marry someone for a year, someone who you were incredibly attracted to, would you do it? What did you think of Stacy for doing so? Did your opinion change when you realized she didn’t think he was serious about it?
5. Stacy is following her dream of being a composer for a movie studio. What is a dream you have? Are you following it? What is the next step you could take toward your dream?
6. Have you ever been involved in an intervention?
7. Did you know that the Vegas psychic who predicted Dixie and Stacy would find their Lifemates in Moonchuckle Bay is the psychic in the new paranormal mystery series, Hemlock Hotel (though the casino was going to be originally called the Nightshade)?
8. Did you like that the townsmonsters rallied together for this Lifemate bonding? Do you think some of the older-than-a-century monsters would resent this two-year-old vampire who got his Lifemate so soon?
9. Have you ever “groveled” in order to make someone else happy?
10. Have you accepted an apology that wasn’t given?
