NELSON MANDELA + BISHOP DESMOND TUTU Image

ONE WAS ALREADY IMPRISONED for the brutal 27 years that would change both of their lives and impact people from Soweto and around the world. The other, studying to be a teacher and destined to become a different kind of messenger, enjoyed in the relative comfort of academia. A common fire and fight would bring them together, as brothers determined that neither of their lives and battles would be fought and won in vain. Tutu carried on the legacy of Madiba, his great friend, whom he proudly and without a hint of self-consciousness proclaimed to be the global icon of reconciliation and forgiveness.
