NADINE BURKE HARRIS, M.D., is the founder and CEO of the Center for Youth Wellness in San Francisco’s Bayview Hunters Point. She was a recipient of the prestigious Heinz Award in 2016, has been the subject of a profile in The New Yorker, and was featured in James Redford’s film Resilience. Her TED Talk, “How Childhood Trauma Affects Health Across a Lifetime,” with over three million views, previewed the subject of The Deepest Well, her first book. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and their four boys.
