“You know who these niggas are?” Ty asked me as he sped down Peachtree Street after the SUV that had been parked outside of the church. As soon as the shots stopped being fired and they took off down the street, we hopped into the Maserati out front that was supposed to transport Kaylen and Zo to the airport and took off behind them.

“Naw, never seen them,” I muttered. I reached behind my back and pulled out my Glock. I checked to make sure it was loaded as Ty weaved in and out of traffic, running through every light.

“I’m about to drop the top,” Ty informed me.

“Aight.”

Soon as the top went back, I stood up and aimed at the black SUV in front of us. They weren’t real close, but weren’t too far that I wouldn’t be able to tag their asses real good with these bullets.

Pow! Pow! Pow!

Screeeeeeeeeeech!

The truck turned into a side street and the tires skid, creating dark marks in the middle of the road. It slid to a stop right after running over a fire hydrant and fucking up the front of the hood.

“Damn, nigga, you done got good as hell with that shit,” Ty laughed. I could barely hear him because the wind was stealing his words, but I got the point of what he was trying to say.

“Damn, right,” I said as he pulled up behind the SUV.

I had been letting out my frustrations at the gun range for the past few weeks in New York City. I was involved in a dangerous life now and I had to make sure that I was able to protect myself and Jazmyn. Although I found out pretty quickly that Jazmyn was better at the shit than I was and needed absolutely no protecting, it made me feel better to think that I had to anyways.

“Alright, let’s go,” Ty demanded. He reached out and pulled out a shotgun. I gave him a look.

“Where the fuck were you hiding that shit?” I asked him.

“Don’t worry about that,” he laughed.

Pow! Pow! Pow!

Ty and I both ducked behind the back of the Maserati as shots were fired at us.

“Sounds like only one shooter,” Ty said. “Maybe two.”

I nodded my head at him. “Let’s go, we can handle that one.”

“Alright.”

At the same time, we both jumped out from behind the car and started firing shot after shot at the Suburban, walking forward as we pelted out bullets. Once we pulled up close to it, I saw the top of the heads of two men ducking down on the floor of the car. I motioned to Ty to go on one side as I went on the other. He nodded and we split up.

Once we each got to the windows, we poked our weapons down in the car and mashed them up against the heads of the men. I looked around the inside of the Suburban quickly to see if we missed anything. There were two men in the backseat, both dead. The only ones living were the two up front.

“Get out,” I ordered.

“Man, I don’t want no trouble. I was just following orders!” the one man yelled, sitting up. He had a low cut fade and four teardrops coming out the right side of his eye.

“Yeah, man! We were just doing what the boss said to do!” the other one piped up.

“The boss who?” Ty ordered. “I run shit in these streets. So who the fuck gave you the order to shoot up that wedding?”

When Ty said that, both men turned to look at him and you could see the blood drain from their faces immediately. The one with the teardrops looked like he was about to cry. He was so scared that his teeth were clacking together.

“Tytan! Oh my God, man, we swear we had no idea you were out there! I put that on my mama grave, man! I swear.”

“Who gave you the order?” Ty repeated, pushing the barrel of his shotgun further into the man’s skull.

“Mercy. He said that we were supposed to murk that cat, Lorenzo, on some business shit. Something to do with Dom.”

I looked at Ty wondering if he understood anything that was being said because I didn’t. Ty frowned slightly before looking at me and giving me a small nod. I wasted no time.

Pow! Pow!

I put a single bullet in each of their skulls and walked away. Ty and I jumped into the Maserati and pulled off quickly as we saw a small crowd forming.

“Alright, we about to make a stop to holla at Dom real quick,” he informed me quietly.

“Got it,” I said.
