Prep Time: 55 Minutes Start to Finish: 3 Hours 35 candies

Heat oven to 350°F. Line 13x9-inch pan with nonstick foil, allowing foil to extend 2 inches over opposite sides of pan. Make brownie batter as directed on box, using oil, water and eggs. Spread in pan.

Bake 24 to 26 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out clean. (Do not overbake.) Cool completely in pan on cooling rack, about 1 hour.

Use foil to lift brownie from pan; pull back foil from edges. Trim ⅛ inch off edges of brownie. (Discard trimmings, or save for another use, such as to top ice cream or pudding.) Cut into 7 rows by 5 rows, making 35 squares.

Line cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper. Place 1 brownie square in palm of your hand, and press with fingers of other hand to flatten. Place 1 candy in center of flattened brownie piece; wrap brownie gently around candy, pressing into a ball. Place on cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining brownie squares and 34 of the candies. Refrigerate 15 minutes.

Finely chop remaining candy; set aside. In medium microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips and shortening uncovered on High 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until chips are softened and mixture can be stirred smooth.

Using 2 forks, dip and roll chilled balls, one at a time, in melted chocolate. Return to cookie sheet; immediately top with chopped candy. (If chocolate has cooled too much, reheat 10 to 20 seconds or until mixture can be stirred smooth.) Refrigerate brownie bombs about 20 minutes or until coating is set. Store covered in refrigerator up to 1 week.
