AoE = Area of Effect; a recommended place to avoid when a PI uses Psychic Darts.
AR = Armor Rating; the likelihood of a shirt blocking a sword that might even get caught on the buttons.
Att = Attack; the chance of murdering a berserk printer before being murdered.
Class = Generally distinct role with specific purposes, weapons, or abilities, and one’s job title at the company that conveniently fits on a resume, though sword combat may not help a person find a job.
Crit = Critical hit (ouch factor).
Grutomaton = Category of creature; a piece of electronics that turn into a beast that enjoys unwitting employees as an afternoon snack.
Guild = An organized group of video game players that regularly dance on the corpse of their enemies in one or more multiplayer games.
Gurglesnorp = A slime creature named by the sound it makes after eating a co-worker.
Level = A player’s overall progression on their Class from playing ranked quests that they could potentially increase by collating papers, but fighting monsters makes a better book.
Mechanoid = Category of creature, a robot that only sometimes dances the Macarena.
MMORPG = Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game that is sometimes responsible for a lack of societal advancement in science, literature, and the arts.
Multidimensionals – Companies that operate in more than one dimension whose discount codes only work in the dimension the player isn’t in.
NPC = Non-Player Character, the m-word copyrighted by a certain boy wizard was already taken.
Permadeath = Death from which one cannot be resurrected, sometimes caused by the printers who seemed to really have it out for a person from day one of their employment.
PI = Paranormal Investigator, but not those from cable television, carrying infrared cameras that give all the footage a green tinge.
Psy = Psychic point total; a necessity for melting a person’s mind.
PP = Psychic Points; a good thing to have when the printer starts eying you.
Rez chair = Resurrection chair (yet it’s still uncomfortable).
RPG = Role Playing Game (Roll Playing Game, hah! See what I did there?).
SP = Skill Points; necessary for smashing things with sticks and waving swords around.
Stats = Stat points to spend on stats (it’s easier than going to a gym).
Tier = Ranking of characters typically organized from strongest to weakest based on their performance in competitive play and a much more civilized bragging system over measuring body part size.
TERANCe = Totally Enhanced Ridiculously Awesome Nice Chassis eHuman (the chassis is rather lovely).
