Tostadas

For taco chips, simply break the tostadas into chip-sized pieces. For a unique taste, sprinkle with dry ranch dressing mix.

INGREDIENTS | MAKES 8

12 cup vegetable oil

8 (6") corn tortillas

12 teaspoon salt

  1. Spread the oil evenly over the bottom of a large frying pan. Preheat to medium-high temperature.
  2. Place the tortillas in hot oil, one at a time, and fry until crisp, about 30 seconds–1 minute. Flip the tortillas when one side is brown to ensure even cooking.
  3. Sprinkle with salt while cooking.
  4. Place on paper towels to drain.
