Since blueprints are printed in response to your order, we cannot honor requests for refunds. However, if for some reason you find that the plan you have purchased does not meet your requirements, you may exchange that plan for another plan in our collection within 90 days of purchase. At the time of the exchange, you will be charged a processing fee of 25% of your original plan package price, plus the difference in price between the plan packages (if applicable) and the cost to ship the new plans to you.
Note: Reproducible masters can only be exchanged if the package is unopened. PDF files and CAD packages are not returnable and non-refundable.
Every effort is made to ensure that the construction drawings and specifications meet the International Residential Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings, but because building codes change or vary from area to area, some drawing modifications and/or the assistance of a professional designer or architect may be necessary to comply with your local codes, or to accommodate specific building site conditions. We advise you to consult with your local building official for more information regarding codes governing your area.

When you purchase a “full set of construction drawings” from Design America, Inc., you are purchasing an exclusive one-time “License to Build,” not the rights to the design. Design America, Inc. is granting you permission on behalf of the home plan designer to use the construction drawings one time for the building of your dream home. The construction drawings (also referred to as blueprints/plans and any derivative of that plan whether extensive or minor) are still owned and protected under copyright laws by the original designer. The blueprints/plans cannot be resold, transferred, rented, loaned or used by anyone other than the original purchaser of the “License to Build” without written consent from Design America, Inc. or the home plan designer.
Note: A “full set of construction drawings” consist of a (5) or (8) set plan package, a reproducible master, a PDF file, or a CAD package.
