Time to Clean
the Kitchen

If you’ve made it this far in the book there’s a good chance you’ve added a few spices to the cabinet, experimented with new recipes, and yelled at me loudly because I said the recipe needed to be in the oven for one hour and your version took an hour and a half. Hopefully along the way you’ve discovered or rediscovered that your kitchen, or wherever you cook, is a sacred place and whatever food you choose to eat is sacred too. In case it wasn’t abundantly clear, you’re sacred as well.

It’s my earnest wish that all the days of your life are filled with stocked pantries, filled larders, fridges bursting with all sorts of goodies, and good company to share these gifts with. May you thrive as a kitchen witch and pass along your best recipes and spells to someone you love dearly. May you never hunger. May you never thirst.

And now it’s time for me to clean the kitchen.
