WEEK 26: Stixnstonez Borders

The grid nature of Stixnstonez means that it lends itself to being a tangle that you can create tile or journal page borders from. In this example, I drew two light pencil borders, leaving about a 12” (13mm) gap between the lines. This gave me a good guide for the size of the grid. It is imperfect in its gaps, but I am completely OK with that. Hopefully you are, too.

In this example, I stripped the tangle right back to its essential elements—the lines. I put small circles in the corners of the tile and created small squares at the midway points to emulate the crossover you’d normally have. You don’t have to do it this way, but it’s something to consider.

How many different borders can you design using Stixnstonez as your starting point? Practice and try some new ideas here.
