Trimee is a really simple tangle I created with randomness in mind. So many tangles rely on a repetative pattern that is carefully constructed. Trimee is not one of those tangles. It’s a repetative pattern, but you can take it anywhere.
STEP 1 Randomly place triangles within the area you wish to tangle. They can be the same size or different sizes. (I’ve kept them the same size for this example just to make it a little easier.)
STEP 2 Continue randomly placing triangles, overlapping some of the edges. You want to create links, but not too much crossover.
STEP 3 Color in the overlapping areas inside of the triangles. Look carefully at my example to see what I mean. Simple, flexible, random. Now it’s your turn!
Use these tiles to practice Trimee. Practice with same-size triangles as well as differing sizes. Get a feel for it here so you can start changing things up in the weeks to follow.
