WEEK 35: Trimee Shapes

Tangle:

Trimee

Continuing from last week’s examples of letterforms, this week we turn to other shapes we can apply Trimee to so we can create wonderful shapes within our tangles.

The first shape, the leaf, is a great example. Using Trimee and then shading the outer areas to complete the shape gives the leaf some dimension. You almost want to run your fingertips over the leaf to see if it has the texture a real leaf has!

Tangles:

Trimee, Tipple

The second example is a background around the star shapes within the tile. This one could probably use some color to make it really pop, but you see the stars and Trimee continues the angular feel of those.

Think about how shapes can be manipulated with a random, flexible tangle likeTrimee, and try out a few ideas. You’ll soon discover what works and how best to create shapes.
