Kitchen Carving

Why limit your whittling to traditional materials? Try your hand at some less conventional carving using fruit and vegetables. A few quick alterations to an onion or cucumber can create a unique table display, while a carrot can be fashioned into a musical marvel. Remember to clean your penknife thoroughly before use in the kitchen, especially when carving items for eventual consumption. It is equally important to clean your knife after use, so as to avoid sticky vegetable residue remaining on the blade.
