Eloy Beglaryan groaned when his phone alarm sounded at 8:00 a.m. He turned to the other side of the bed and saw a thirty-something woman lying next to him.
Good God! What had he been thinking, bringing home a grandma? Worse yet, it was a boosting day. He had shit to do. First order of business, get rid of Granny. Then he’d be sure his team was ready to go.
Immediately, he thought of Chloe. Could he count on her?
The woman next to him stretched, opening her eyelids…heavy from the false eyelashes glued to her lids.
She rolled over and smiled at him. “Oh, baby.” She reached down to grab him. “How about a sequel to last night?”
He knew he shouldn’t. But she was offering it up…what to do?
He removed her hand from his member. “Let’s see what your mouth can do, shall we?”
Twenty minutes later, she was backing her Jag out of his driveway. Maybe grannies weren’t so bad after all.
As he watched her back out to the main road, he rubbed at his crotch. He’d have to move her to his ‘fast but willing’ list. The only problem was, he couldn’t remember her name and didn’t get her number.
He turned his attention to today’s goals. Last night, before clubbing, he had Neema use a burner phone to contact each of his operators for the heist at Flair department store. She’d sent them the sketch made by Chloe. They’d all emailed back they were on board and ready to go.
He wasn’t worried about his crew. He was concerned the hot blonde wouldn’t show to pick him up in her Toyota sports car. There was no chance he’d use his own ride to oversee the operation. He needed the girl to appear in her vehicle to give him an observation post that couldn’t be traced back to him.
He picked up his phone and punched at the keys in a text. Are you on your way?
He waited for ten minutes.
This is bullshit. Using his own burner, he called her.
“What?” Her voice came through the phone as an irritated breath.
“Chloe! Get your ass outta bed. You’ve got a job to do.”
“I told you yesterday that I’m not going to do it.”
He clenched his teeth. “Fine. Let me send you the first of your pics that I’ll send to your father.” He sent her the most revealing and disgusting of the photos he’d taken of her.
“Check your phone.”
He heard her gasp. “You can’t do that.”
“I can, and I will. You need to come help. I’m serious.”
“Please. I really don’t want to be involved.”
He turned his voice to a smooth whiskey. “Listen, how about this? We do this job together, and then we talk about how you fit into my organization.”
There was silence.
Fury began to build in his chest. “Are you there?”
“Yes. If I work with you today, will you delete the pictures you took of me and take them off your website?”
“But you’ll still be my girlfriend with all the bennies that entails?”
She hesitated, then giggled. “That’s what we do best, right?”
He silently breathed a sigh of relief. He put a smile into his voice. “Absolutely!” What a dumb bunny.
Mad as hell that he was going to have to meet her some place, he told her to pick him up at the Northridge parking lot of the Metrolink train station.
