Before You Buy a Pet

Ask Yourself (or Your Parents) This:

1. Does your family have time to spend with your pet? This means walks, playing, feeding and watering, letting it out of its cage and cleaning after it.

2. If your family moves, will your pet be able to move with you?

3. Is your family prepared to keep the pet for many years?

4. Is your family prepared to research the pet so that everyone can take better care of it?

5. If it gets sick, will you be able to take it to the vet?
