COLOR STRATEGY: THE COLOR WHEEL
If you’re not using the color wheel when planning your crochet projects, you’re missing out on a valuable and easy-to-use tool. The color wheel is a classic tool that has been used by designers and artists for ages, as it is a no-fail way to select complementary colors. Next time you’re picking out yarn for a project, visualize the color wheel and try one of these approaches:
With color MC, ch 41, join with sl st to first ch.
RND 1: Sc in 2nd ch and in each ch around—40 sc, do not turn.
RNDS 2–5: Ch 1, sc in first and each sc around, joining color A at end of last rnd, do not turn.
RND 6: With color A, sc in each sc around, joining color MC at end of rnd, do not turn.
RNDS 7 AND 8: With color MC, sc in each sc around joining color B at end of rnd, do not turn.
RND 9: With color B, sc in each sc around, joining color MC at end of rnd, do not turn.
RNDS 10 AND 11: With color MC, sc in each sc around, joining color A at end of rnd, do not turn.
RND 12: With color A, sc in each sc around, joining color MC at end of rnd, do not turn.
RNDS 13–15: With color MC, sc in each sc around, do not fasten off.
