Chapter 36

Hannah was having a bad day today. Very seldom did she feel sorry for herself and let the depression of being diagnosed with MS take over.

She should be excited.  Her new line of Multiple Sclerosis, MS jewelry was complete.  She had been working on this for quite a while now.  The line had to be perfect.  All profits would go to the MS Society, to help with research.  Maybe one day there would be a cure for this disease, or at least a better understanding of what the disease did to your body.

This was one of those days where depression moved in and refused to let go.  She couldn’t wait to see Frank later today.  His support had been amazing.  He is the best thing that had come into her life in a very long time.

When her ex-husband left her because of the MS, Hannah assumed her life was over.  Somehow, she managed to pick herself up from the ruins and channeled her energy into her growing business.  Now Doug, her ex, was sorry he left her.  It didn’t help that the whole town thought he was an ass for what he did.  He had tried on several occasions to “win” her back.  She had learned her lesson.  Her life was better without him in it.  Doug never believed her “jewelry” would ever bring in any money.  He constantly told her it was a complete waste of time and money; that she should find a new hobby.  Well, she managed to get the final laugh.  Karma could be a bitch, when she chose to be.

As soon as Frank saw her he could tell that she wasn’t feeling well and put his arms around her, holding her tightly.  She knew that he wished he could take her pain away and make her feel better.

He kissed her gently, holding her close to his body.  She didn’t resist, needing his closeness.  She slid her arms around his neck, pulling his mouth closer to hers.  The kiss deepened.  For a brief moment in time, she wanted to forget about the MS, the depression and the pain associated with it.  Her blood began to heat with desire. Frank picked her up and carried her off to the bedroom, both falling onto the bed.

His hands found their way under her dress and pulled it over her head in one swift movement.  She worked on the fly of his jeans, anxious to feel him against her skin.  She felt his warm breath against her breast, kissing one nipple while massaging the other.  As he teased and nipped ever so gently, the nipple hardened in response.  She arched against him as desire warmed her to the very core.

“You are so beautiful, Hannah, don’t you forget it.”  As he rolled on top of her, she welcomed the weight of him.  Her body responded to his kisses trailing down her body.  The stubble of his beard tickled the inside of her thighs, as he slipped his tongue inside her, igniting a fire deep within.  She arched upward as his tongue delved deeper into her womanhood.

“Frank.  I love you so much.”  She wanted to show him the same pleasure that he was showing her.  She pushed him down onto the bed this time.  As she straddled him, she trailed kisses down his body.  He was already hard, throbbing for her.

“Hannah, if you don’t stop right now, I’m not going to be able to hold back.”

“What’s wrong, Sheriff, can’t take the heat?”  As quick as lightning, he was back on top of her, thrusting himself into her, filling her up completely.  She felt the first waves of orgasms wash over her and they kept coming.

SHERIFF OURSO LISTENED to Hannah sleep as he thought about the case.  It had him stumped.  He had talked with Steve and his friends, but no one seemed to know why someone was taunting them.  Adele Fisher and the others were still missing with no leads.  He was beyond frustrated and he had a feeling Steve and his friends were holding out on him. He knew it deep down in his gut. There was more to this story than they were telling him.  The problem was, how in the hell could he find out? Ourso had to tread carefully. These were some prominent and powerful people he was questioning.  Maybe Hannah knew what they were hiding.  She grew up with them.
