Chapter 40

An intense pain roared through Rose McKey’s head. Whatever drug her captor had used, left her with the worst hangover she had ever experienced. She always heard the warnings about never leaving your drink unattended, but she never took heed to it. Something like that never happened around here.

Her eyes were finally adjusting to the darkness.  The moonlight offered a soft glow to the room. It looked like she was being held in an old barn of some kind.

Before she could think of a plan of attack, her captor appeared before her.

"What are you planning on doing to me?"

He laughed at her menacingly. "You mean that you don’t recognize me after all these years?"  Rose McKey had always used her beauty to get whatever she wanted in life.  He would be the one to take that beauty away from her.  Not only would they use the acid to see if her eye color changed, but he planned to use it on her face to take away her beauty.  He wanted to bring her down a peg or two.  Life could be so harsh at times.

She stared hard at him. He looked vaguely familiar, but his eyes were blank, vacant, as if he had no soul. Then she noticed the knife in his hands. He ran the knife along her body, letting it caress her neck, arms, the swell of her breasts, moving downward.

“Please, let me go, I promise I won’t tell anyone.”

“Oh, but my friend and I aren’t ready to let you go.  We haven’t even begun to have fun with you.”

Panic sent shivers down her body, “Friend, what friend?  You mean there are two of you?”  Out of the shadows stepped another man.  She knew she was doomed now.  She watched as the other man picked up a knife, light glinting off of the steel.

HE FELT HER BODY TENSE and smiled to himself. He could see the fear building in her eyes. Her breathing picked up, causing his erection to become rock hard, almost throbbing with intensity.  Her voice grew shaky as she begged him. "Please, don’t hurt me!"

He looked down at her.  She reminded him of a deer caught in the headlights. He would enjoy playing with this one. She looked as if she was ready to pass out from fright itself. It wouldn't take long to break this one and have her screaming in agony.

Their screams were such sweet music to his ears. The smell of blood teased his senses. He traced her stomach with the tip of the knife.  He brought the tip to the cleavage between her breasts. White hot pain scorched through her body, stealing her breath away, as the knife slipped into her tender flesh once again.  Warm blood oozed down her body.

Her brown eyes began to lose their vitality. Soon, she would die and one more would succumb to his revenge.

They could no longer torment him. The sun was starting to rise. Sunlight slowly filtered its way into the barn. The carnage would be revealed in the daylight.
