ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

First, I have to thank Diane for insisting to me that I keep writing DemonWars. She knows what this world means to me and won’t let me walk away until I’m ready!

Next, to Paul Lucas, my agent, who has supported expanding and strengthening all of the DemonWars series for years now. Perhaps it was the tone of my voice whenever discussing DemonWars—I don’t know. But whatever the reason, these two understood how much I need to keep this world alive.

Enter Joe Monti, longtime convention friend, and now editor of Saga Books. Joe has always kept up on my work, and always had good words about DemonWars, even though he wasn’t publishing them. When it became time to find a new home for these books, Joe made it easy. His enthusiasm and understanding of the world is what any author hopes for when signing those contracts.

So, a big thank you to Joe and the team at Saga for staying on top of every detail and working hard to make this new series the best it can be. And a special call-out to Valerie Shae, as thorough and tough a copyeditor as I’ve ever seen, and also one who respects the style of her victim… err, author.
