Epilogue

“I can’t believe you’re seriously thinking about moving to Colorado.” Paris Adler blew over the top of her steaming mug of hot chocolate and frowned at her friend. “If you know your grandmother and great-aunt are blowing smoke up your ass, why go?”

“You’re whining, Paris.” London’s comment earned her a narrow-eyed glare, but she appeared unphased by her youngest sister’s hostility.

“I’m not whining. I am simply trying to get Emerald to see abandoning her independence would be a Goliath-sized mistake.”

“You mean abandoning you.” London’s unwelcome interjection earned her a scathing muttered curse about a woman who needs two men to keep her in line, making Emerald Stone lean her head back bursting into a gale of laughter.

“I haven’t decided to move. At this point, it’s just something Granny Good Witch is trying to sell… okay, sell might be a bit of an understatement, but you get the idea. She really stepped up her effort after meeting Catalina. It seems she appreciated the energy generated by being near a youngster—that’s a direct quote, by the way.”

“Eli said there is a really great kink club not far from where your family lives—which probably explains why Cam stashed Cat and Cooper there until the threat to her was neutralized. The ShadowDance Club is owned by Alex and Zach Lamont. Evidently, the Lamonts are long-time friends of Ian’s.” London waggled her arched eyebrows at Emerald, whose cheeks immediately turned scarlet.

“It’s a given the club is great if they are friends of Ian’s. I know there is a network of clubs that all adhere to the same safe, sane, and consensual standards. If there is a problem with a member or visitor in one club, the information is shared with the others.” London smiled smugly when Paris stared at her in surprise.

London might have two mates, but she was notoriously private, even with those in the lifestyle. Hearing her talk about kink clubs in front of Emerald was unexpected… and suspicious—very suspicious indeed.

“Did I tell you Audric Stafford is stopping by to see me tomorrow? When I asked if my family was okay, he laughed and assured me they are fine. I’m not really a part of the magic world, so it seems odd he’s coming to visit, don’t you think?” Paris and London looked at each other and sighed.

“Have a safe trip to Colorado, Em.”
