Although I’ve been a pastor’s wife for over a decade, I’m thankful to say my husband and I have found ourselves serving churches far more gracious than Orchard Grove. If you are a pastor or are married to a pastor, I hope it was refreshing for you to read about a couple you may or may not relate to. I also hope that Breath of Heaven has encouraged you to pray for your pastor and your pastor’s family!
If you’re new to Alana Terry novels, the Orchard Grove novels deal with real couples struggling with real issues, but if you’re ever up for a lighter read with the same setting (and many of the same characters), you might also enjoy the Sweet Dreams Christian romance series. In fact, book 1, What Dreams May Come, is a fictionalized account of the way my husband and I met. You’ll meet Grandma Lucy and several other members of Orchard Grove when you read it.
