Your Medical Numbers

It’s important to know what levels you are shooting for when it comes to blood pressure and cholesterol. Maintaining blood pressure and cholesterol at these healthy levels can lower your risk for disease and help keep your disease under control if you’ve already been diagnosed.

Healthy levels of cholesterol are:

LDL levels less than 100 mg/dl

HDL levels 60 mg/dl or higher

Triglycerides under 150 mg/dl

A healthy blood pressure reading is 130/80 or lower.

See your doctor regularly and follow her advice.
