About the Author: Barbara Dan

With family roots planted deep in New England history, Barbara Dan is a voracious reader of history and can often be found prowling around old graveyards and musty museums, while doing research for her next historical novel.

Many of her writings are inspired by her work as an actress, night club comedienne, singer-dancer, model, Hollywood producer, real estate saleswoman, teacher of couples' communications workshops, book publisher, editor, and adjunct college professor—not to mention raising four lively children in a Baptist parsonage! (P.S. The kids all turned out perfectly normal!)

Besides degrees in Theatre Arts and Advanced Accounting, she earned her M.A. in Humanities at California State University, but feels that life experience is the most valuable tool a writer brings to his or her work (A good sense of humor helps, too!)
