James spent time traveling, even spending some years studying martial arts with some of the great masters. He settled down and eventually married Mirilla.

Tristan and Sarah Jane lived contently in Moonspire. With the closing of the Ways, the union that had begun to stop Napoleon ended. No longer was there a title for the Marquis of Moonspire in England, and all trace of it was lost to mortal history.

One may think that with the Ways closed between the worlds of man and magic, that a traveler couldn’t cross into either realm. Crossing over could still be done if you were of that world, or had a token of power. Much like the ring Tristan had.
Very few of such tokens existed, and as time passed new ones were not created. Those of magic chose not to travel to the Mezzo world. Mortals could not pass into the Spires without the aid of magic.
