About the Author

LEON MARVEL, Ph.D., has had a long academic career, teaching in many universities in Australia, China, and Cyprus. Most recently he was associate professor of film and digital media at Deakin University in Australia. For more than 30 years he has researched European and Eastern esotericism and the history of science. He lives in Victoria, Australia.
