Interview with Violet DeLoache

The earring found at the Garbus apartment is confirmed as one of a pair owned by Violet DeLoache. Khalika has access to her apartment and often borrows clothes or jewelry from Violet. Violet noticed the earrings were missing, and that then one reappeared. She assumed that Khalika had borrowed them.

Violet also said that although she danced as Khalika—it sounded more exotic—everyone at the Naked Envy knew her as Violet, so Bezruchkov would never have called her “Khali.”

It’s now essential that we find Khalika DeLoache, not only to ascertain her involvement, but also because there is no doubt that those at the top of the Naked Envy operation are going to work this out, and she is going to have a price on her head. We have no known address for Khalika, no idea where or even if she works, and even Violet doesn’t have a contact number for her.
