TO OUR TEACHERS

tvaṁ naḥ sandarśito dhātrā dustaraṁ nistitīrṣatām

kaliṁ sattva-haraṁ puṁsāṁ karṇa-dhāra ivārṇavam

we have met you,

who are like a ship’s captain!

The ocean that is this age,

ruinous for humankind,

is difficult to navigate

for those who would cross it.
