During psychotic episodes, because the concepts of both myself and the world around me are so fragmented and untethered from reality, I often cope by shooting with an SX-70 Polaroid and a Contax T2 camera. It is important to me that taking pictures during a psychotic episode includes the use of physical film, which is tangible in a way that digital photographs are not.
