Golden Afternoon Spicy Thai Fishcakes

“All in the golden afternoon” is the famous poem Lewis Carroll wrote in Alice in Wonderland. This poem sets the scene for this legendry tale and stirs our imagination. Being foodies, this poem inspired us in a bit different way and we made up into this appetizing appetizer. The golden color of this fish is going to remind us of the golden sunshine of the afternoon when this story started.

Put the egg, green onions, fresh cilantro, brown sugar, fish sauce, sweet chili sauce, oyster sauce, ½ cup of flour, and fish in the food processor. Process them until combined well. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
Give the shape of patties to the mixture, then dust it with the flour.
Pour the oil into a skillet to fry the fish cakes. It should make ½ inch of oil in the pan.
Heat the oil on medium flame. Put the fish cakes in the oil and fry for at least 8 minutes or turn golden brown in color. Turn once in between. Serve them hot.
