This broccoli-and-garlic combo makes your blood vessels extremely happy. Broccoli is rich in sulforaphane, a sulfur-rich compound that helps reduce inflammation and prevents narrowing of the arteries. Garlic prevents platelets from clumping together to form a clot, which decreases the risk of heart attack and stroke. Caramelized, roasted garlic and flavorful garlic powder coat crispy broccoli to make a perfect side dish that can accompany just about any meal!
4 heads broccoli, cut into florets (about 2 cups)
2 teaspoons avocado oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 garlic cloves, minced
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

On the baking sheet, coat the broccoli with the oil, garlic powder, garlic, and pepper and massage well. Cook for about 20 minutes, until the broccoli is fork-tender and lightly browned. Serve warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
MAKE IT EASIER TIP:
If you’re in a pinch, substitute the fresh garlic cloves for 1 teaspoon of dehydrated minced garlic slices, which can be found in the spice
aisle.
