2 teaspoons garlic powder
1½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon ground cumin
In an empty spice container, mix the garlic powder, pepper, turmeric, paprika, and cumin until well combined.
SUBSTITUTION TIP: If the cumin is a bit too nutty for your taste, swap it for ground caraway seeds. Caraway seeds have a milder flavor, but impart the same note.
