5-INGREDIENT, 30 MINUTES OR LESS, ONE-POT
Traditional tartar sauce contains heavily processed ingredients, preservatives, and fat. This tartar sauce is creamy from the yogurt, slightly salty from the dill pickles, and fresh and savory from the parsley and onions. Add this to Fish and Chips with Homemade Tartar Sauce and Buffalo Tofu and Cauliflower Bites and Salmon Burgers with Homemade Yogurt Mustard Sauce or carrots and celery for a well-balanced snack.
1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
¼ cup chopped dill pickles
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated onion
In a medium mixing bowl, stir the yogurt, pickles, parsley, pepper, lemon juice, and onion until well combined.
SUBSTITUTION TIP: For a tangier tartar sauce, add 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard.
