Carlo Daffara is head of research at Conecta, an open source consulting company based in Italy. He is the Italian member of the European working group on libre software, and chairs several other working groups, such as the open source middleware group of the IEEE technical committee on scalable computing and the SME working group of the EU competitiveness task force. His current research activity is centered on the sustainability of OSS-based business models.
Jesus M. Gonzalez-Barahona teaches and researches at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Mostoles (Spain). He first got involved in libre software in 1991. Since then, he has collaborated on several working groups, developed research lines, and initiated training programs. He also collaborates on several libre software projects and associations, writes in various media about topics related to libre software, and consults for companies and public administrations on issues related to their strategies, in the framework of the GSyC/LibreSoft research group.
