Drawing template

STEP 1: Refer to the template as a visual guide and using a pencil, freehand draw your cup and saucer, with just a few flower stalks poking out of the cup. Add a bunch of simple butterflies as well.

STEP 2: Paint or color in the butterflies with pens/pencils and design the cup and saucer with a pattern you like. (Have a look at some magazines for inspiration or even in your kitchen!) This is a great design for Mother’s Day if you want to personalize it.

STEP 3: Start to loosely draw and paint on some green stalks and leaves to fill the cup.

STEP 4: Punch out lots of paper flowers and cut out some fabric flowers and leaves, too, for added texture. You can also use gems and sequins.

STEP 5: Now glue on the flowers and leaves so it looks like they are really bursting out of the cup. The more flowers the better!

STEP 6: Highlight your designs with sparkle! Glitter glue is great for this, especially on the leaves and above the flowers.
