In the next two chapters, you will find examples of various ways to put the Med-DASH diet plan together. These are suggestions. Please customize the meal plans for your own tastes and preferences. The jump-start program in the next chapter will help you relearn how to eat. It will teach you how to create satisfying meals and snacks, and balance foods to satisfy hunger and avoid cravings. In the jump-start program do not skip any meals or snacks. You do not want to let your hunger get out of control. In the full plan, the afternoon snack is optional, according to your hunger level. This is also a very important foundation of the full Med-DASH plan, and the jump-start program teaches you how to accomplish this. You will get all the benefits of the full plan, but intensified.
