About the Author

Lorcan Collins was born and raised in Dublin. He founded the 1916 Walking Tour in 1996 (see 1916rising.com). He is co-author of The Easter Rising: A Guide to Dublin in 1916 (O’Brien Press, 2000) and author of the biography James Connolly (O’Brien Press, 2012). He was co-editor of the 16 Lives series of books and is author of 1916: The Rising Handbook (O’Brien Press, 2016).
