On the Cover: A silk velvet from the renowned fabric house Scalamandré sprawls across a Louis XVI–style chair by Nancy Corzine. Reportedly, Daisy Fellowes (1887–1962), one of the most glamorous socialites of the time, deserves credit for being the first to recognize the leopard fabric’s exotic allure. She used it to cover a sofa. The Scalamandré yellow-and-brown stripe on curtains also merits high praise.
