Part VI: Conquer the Space Invaders

WHEN CHILDREN PLAY HOUSE they are making little spaces that mimic grown-up ones: little offices, little kitchens, little tool benches. As your children start to need their own space, you can help them create functional areas at school and home: space to create, space to learn and study, and space to relax. Creating a functional space for your child helps to set her up for success and make it easier for her to focus on tasks at hand.

A certain amount of chaos and clutter is inevitable when you have school-aged children. But once you have what you need in the right place, and you have a system for keeping schoolwork flowing from home to school and back again, you will be able to conquer those space invaders.
