1. When the storm serpents get sick, Zuli helps them at first with some special soup and later with a gadget to cure them. Write about a time when someone you loved got sick. Describe how it made you feel. Explain what you did in that situation.
2. Imagine that you are a skilled tinkerer like Zuli. Think of a gadget you would make. What would it look like? What would it do? Write a description of your gadget, how it works, and what it would be used for.
