The measures in this domain evaluate the safeness of hospitals for incidents such as adverse events and nosocomial infections. All of the measures in this domain are described in the later section on the HAC program (except for the PC-01 measure, which is described as follows):

- PC-01 – Elective delivery prior to 39 weeks completed gestation: Guidelines recommend that pregnancies are delivered as close as possible to 40 weeks.
