“Good morning ladies!” Isla spoke dressed with her workout gear on.

“Good morning, ma’am. How are you doing this morning? Are we working out this morning?

“I’m so rested I don’t know what to do with myself. And not that I know of. I wanted to be chill.”

“Hold up that’s not chill wear. You’re showing all of your assets,” Ryan answered with emphasis on ass.

“You called Edwin and had phone sex?” Emery asked.

“Girl, forget you. And no I didn’t. It was all that damn liquor. I’m good. I can’t help I have a shape in my clothes. These pants were looser than this when I first got them.”

Emery turned around and looked down at her sister’s thighs. “Why are you lying like that? You haven’t gained that much weight since you got those.”

“You don’t know that. My thighs are always the first things to gain weight.”

“Yeah. I bet.”

“Where are the other ladies?”

“I guess sleeping,” Ryan answered.

“I slept in and they still aren’t up.”

“Well you know Randi was smashed last night.”

“Mia was too,” Ryan answered.

“I forgot. They sure were.”

Emery let out a sigh because her sister was falling for the lie.

“This vacation has had some surprises for sure but I enjoyed myself. This is our last night. We need to either chill or do it big,” Isla smiled.

“Didn’t you do it big enough last night? All of those strippers we saw. Hell I’m tired of looking at penises and vaginas,” Emery laughed.

“I mean we can do a nice dinner at a restaurant tonight.”

“Or we can call the chef that your lovely man hired and do it here?”

“That’s an idea too.”

“I feel like we all need to exhale and enjoy each other outside of the club scene. A lot is and has been going on with all of us and we need to vent before we head back home.”

“True,” Isla answered laying her head back against the headrest of the chair she pulled up to the bar.

“Why do you have that big ass chair at the bar?”

“I needed something for my back,” she laughed.

“So have you really had a good time?” Ryan asked flipping the last of the pancakes.

“Yes I have. I can’t lie I was a little upset when the men popped up but I feel like the stress and pain from it. I can’t even be mad anymore.”

“We’re both sorry. I mean I let him have it,” Ryan answered.

“You heffas eating without me again?” Randi asked walking in the kitchen.

“Do you see any plates set or empty?” Ryan asked pointing the spatula at her.

“I’m just in time.”

“Your ass should have been in here cooking it. Sleeping all late.”

“You know what. Let me worry about me and you worry about that pancake that you’re burning. Where’s Mia? She hasn’t come in yet,” Randi continued on.

“Come in yet?” Isla asked sitting straight up.

“Oh shit. Here we go,” both Emery and Ryan whispered.

“Yeah. Where is she?” Randi asked again.

“I guess in the bed. Why should I know. She’s grown. I’m not keeping count of who’s here and who isn’t.”

“Alright adjust your tone. We weren’t saying it like that. Relax.”

“Randi came in here like she knows something. How about you tell all of us what happened since you know everything,” Emery answered.

“She doesn’t know,” Ryan answered placing the last pancake on the plate.

Mia came walking back in the kitchen.

“Well look what the cat drug in,” Randi started staring at Mia.

“What?” Mia asked grabbing a piece of bacon from the platter.

“Did you wash your hands?” Isla asked.

Mia smacked her lips. “What were y’all talking about?”

“You,” Randi answered.

“What about me?”

“Where have you been?”

“In my bed. Why what do you need?”

“You were in your bed all night?”

“What’s this an interrogation?” she asked sitting down on one of the stools.

“It doesn’t have to be if you answer the questions truthfully.”

Mia started laughing.

“What’s so funny?” Isla asked.

“I’m here now. That’s all that matters.”

“I didn’t bring it up thank you very much. Randi was the one that mentioned it. So get an attitude with her.”

“What’s up Randi? What do you want to know?”

Randi shifted in her chair and locked eyes with Mia. “Did you have a dick visit this morning?”

“Why are you looking at me like you’re in love with me?” she asked shifting her attention to Ryan. “And no I didn’t have a dick visit this morning.”

“What was it then?”

“A visit. The dick was extra,” she laughed.

“I know that’s right,” Ryan joined in on the laughter.

“Lucas was here?” Isla asked.

“No ma’am. I have more respect for you than that. I know you didn’t have to ask me that. Are you for real?”

“Hell, I don’t know.” Isla snapped.

“I’ve never made you question our friendship or respect before. I, repeat, I did not ask that man to fly her to see me. That was all his idea. Did I go and see him this morning? Yes the hell I did. Are there any more questions?”

“Was it worth it?”

“It was worth every bit of leg pain I’m in right now.”

“That’s all that matters,” Emery added.

“So, Isla do you have anything else that you want or need to know?”

Isla got up from the bar and walked to the other side of the room that was overlooking the beach.

“Oh shit,” Emery whispered walking away from the stove.

“What is she doing?”

“She’s pissed. Unfortunately when she’s like this it’s over for all of us, even me.”

“I guess, I would be too but I could have lied and said no I didn’t go. I needed that closure. Even though it wasn’t quite closure. But I needed to see for myself,” Mia answered.

“I’m not faulting you. I would do the same thing. That man spent a nice piece of change to come and see you. I also understand her side of it. She’s the one getting married. I guess,” Ryan shrugged her shoulders. “We need to respect her time. She can’t get this back and now it’s going to be a drama filled weekend for her.”

“I’m sorry. I can’t help what my body wanted.”

“Isla!” Emery called out.

She didn’t bother turning around. The first tear fell down her face. I can’t believe I’m this bothered by this but it hurts, she thought to herself wiping her face.

“I’ll go over there. Maybe I can help,” Randi stated walking to comfort Isla.

“What’s wrong?” she whispered rubbing her back.

“I didn’t mean to be a bridezilla but I wanted this weekend to be about me. Us,” she explained. “I’ve never had a time like this and it’s always a man somewhere trying to crash something. I can’t stand men,” she continued.

“We understand. I don’t think the men would do anything like this. They’re sorry. Can you stop crying?” Randi asked pulling her in for a hug.

“I can’t help it. It hit me all at once. I’m confused about getting married and I want to bond with my girls but shit y’all got more going on than I do.”

“It all hasn’t been a bust. Let us love you. You’ve been acting like you’re all happy. You need to let us know what you need. We’re here for you. We’re here for each other,” Randi reassured her. That caused Isla to cry harder. Randi motioned for the ladies to join her. “She needs us,” she mouthed to them. They all ran to her side.

“We got you,” Emery answered.
